“ i mean , it’s not BAD . ” eyebrows raise slightly ; digits push a strand of blonde hair behind her ear before her arms are crossed . her weight shifts to her other foot over the course of five seconds , eyes glancing to the ground .
“ it doesn’t matter what went down . ” sharp & jagged tone cuts through air with EASE . eyes remain focused on ground , chest heavy . jacket suddenly feels all too constricting around her ribs , lungs bound in rope.
“ you can do this . if you’re anything like either of your parents , you CAN do this . ” her voice doesn’t waver , a small smile creeps onto her lips . lindsey knows how to calm&reassure ; it’s in her NATURE .
“ you think so ?? ” her smile beamed, and she sighed happily as her mother pulled her into an embrace. her parents’ pride was the thing she always wanted most. her heroes. “ mama said the same thing. i just need some more practice to be PERFECT!! ”
“ you already are perfect . ” sweet words spill from lips , PRIDE blooming in chest . ( what a luxury it is to be able to LOVE someone so much - - ) she turns to face robin , pressing a small kiss to her forehead .
“ i mean , the cocoon mostly sucks . ” eyebrows raise slightly as a smirk rises to her lips , digits rotate the pen in her hand around her index finger . she’ll openly admit she’s happy to be back at the playground , back with DAISY ; no matter how long she can stay . ( she’s not entirely pleased with being benched for almost every game plan.)
“ hey , you did GREAT . ” a soft smile , arm wraps around her shoulder & holds her close. “ i’m PROUD of you . ” her arm pulls her daughter a little closer as her head turns away , smile remaining on face .
